Tuesday, September, 07, 2010 September 6 - I was very surprised yesterday morning when I discovered the lake had not rolled over after the strong Northwest wind we had the day before. I figured the cold water would have the harbor full of fish, so I set up there at daybreak and discovered there was 67 degrees from top to bottom and no fish. Later in the day I worked my way out through 4-5 foot sloppy waves to the shelf, but the fish are scattered and I saw extremely few on the graph. All in all it was an extremely frustrating day and I wish I had followed my first instinct to call the trip off. The wind predictions for the next few days are for gale force winds out of the South/Southwest, so, I don't think we will be getting back out there any time soon. Hello September!
